How does the LaunchWave social media distraction blocker work?

At first, it might seem a little bit too overwhelming to use. Nevertheless, we created this page to answer all of your questions: Is it really worth it to use? How does it work? What if it does not work, what if I do not develop a habit, and much more?

Dashboard

LaunchWave dashboard. A program to block social media and lessen your distractions.

When you have already registered and answered a few of our questions, you will be redirected to your dashboard. This is how it will look. Now we will go through every function that our program provides.

  • Input field near the on/off button. If you want to start your session right away, I meaninstantlyt you just write any number you want. For example, we have written 80 pressed off the button to on, and the session has started. If you want to end the session earlier, press “Delete sessions permanently” and the session will end. If you want to pause, press on button.
Whenever you press on, any social media gets blocked
  • Plan additional sessions for today and today’s sessions input fields. If you want to plan your sessions for today fast, just write the time you want and press save. The program will automatically sort the sessions in chronological order, from the earliest to the latest. 30 seconds until your session starts, a pop-up will show beneath delete sessions permanently asking if you are ready for your session.
  • Upcoming today’s sessions will be discussed when we walk through planning future sessions.s

Statistics

Lessening your distraction is not easy
  • Today’s report. After your session ends- either automatically if the time runs out or you end it earlier- you press the statistics, and you will be able to see how you performed. Each session’s report contains these things. How many times have you pressed the stop button if you have ended earlier? What type of social media, and when you have tried to attempt it( from which you will be able to understand your distraction kryptonite), typed symbols( we only calculate how many symbols, not what type of symbols), mouse movements, and AFK time.
  • Weekly bar chart. “Each day, the bar chart calculates the number of minutes you spent in a focus session. This allows you to better understand and analyze your daily achievements. It may also reveal that if you spent more time in a focus session but accomplished less, it could be a sign to reflect on whether a personality adjustment might be needed.
  • Goals for the week-every day, we calculate your progress and display it in the chart below. This gives you a clear way to track, analyze, and compare your results with the goals you’ve set for the week. The progress circle at the bottom makes it even easier to see how close you are to achieving them—once you reach 100%, your goals are accomplished! From there, you can raise the bar, refine your targets, and continue pushing your growth to the next level.

Plan your sessions for the future

Calendar-Here’s how it works: this page is built to help you take full control of your goals and plan ahead with ease. Just click Add Event, choose your date and time, and you’re ready to go. The system makes sure your sessions don’t overlap or repeat—keeping everything clean, simple, and stress-free. And when the day you planned finally arrives, all your scheduled sessions automatically move into the Upcoming Today Sessions block. No extra work, no confusion—just a clear path forward. Simple. Efficient. Fast. Because every focused session brings you closer to your goals—and every goal achieved is one step toward becoming the best version of yourself.”

Settings

Now we’ve reached the final page: Settings .The main—and perhaps the most important—option here is choosing and changing your role. If your current role no longer fits your goals, if your social media usage feels unbalanced, or if distraction time remain the same, we encourage you to switch roles and take a fresh look at yourself. To change roles just simply press on the role that seems to fit you the best and press yes button( to reset password and other simple things are also there). And if after changing roles you still notice the same level of distraction or no reduction in your social media time, we invite you to contact us and share your situation. We’re here to help you find the right path.
