Data we collect
While your session is active, we collect the following data: user activity (mouse movements, number of key presses, session start/end times, pause status, and AFK time).
We do not record the actual keys you type, form entries, messages, or any type of content.
Minimal browsing context: the current tab’s domain/origin and tab lifecycle events (e.g., activated, closed, navigated) to attribute time per site and apply focus rules.
We do not collect full URLs, page titles, or page content.
Why we collect it
To provide users with the ability to analyze their AFK time, identify the most distracting social media sites, and measure whether they have reached their goals.
Where your data lives (local by default)
Activity counts and session summaries are stored on your device (browser storage).
Data sharing
- No third-party sales or advertising sharing.
- Service providers (if used, such as our partners): If we use infrastructure providers to deliver optional sync features, they act only as processors on our behalf and cannot use your data for their own purposes.
Permissions we use
- host_permissions — needed to inject our content during sessions to measure the components described above.
- tabs — needed to detect tab switches and lifecycle events (switch, navigate, close) for accurate timing. We do not request the activeTab permission.
- scripting — used to inject our own packaged content script (content.js) on demand.
We do not use remote code, external script tags, eval, or similar mechanisms.
Security
Data sent to our service is protected by HTTPS.
